The statement also revealed that Ananya had been experiencing physical and mental health difficulties for more than a year. Her family said she had faced the challenges with considerable strength and continued to fight through the difficult period.


They futher added, "She was a strong-spirited girl and lived like a Queen. Baccha, your absence will be dearly felt. We urge all of you to pray for her soul. And in these trying times, we wish to maintain privacy and quietitude."

The family did not provide a specific medical diagnosis or disclose a particular cause of death. Therefore, details beyond the health struggles mentioned in their statement remain unknown.

AICWA pays tribute to the young actress

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also paid tribute to Ananya following the family's announcement.

In its statement, the organisation mourned the actress's death at just 27 and noted that her family had only recently made the news public. AICWA also referred to the health challenges Ananya had faced over the previous year.

The organisation remembered her as a talented young artist whose journey ended much too soon. It said her loss was not only devastating for her loved ones but also deeply felt within the wider film industry.

Ananya Raj's films and career

Ananya Raj was an Indian actor who worked across Hindi and regional cinema. She grew up in Mumbai and entered the entertainment industry through films and music videos.

She made her Bollywood debut with 7 Hours to Go in 2016. The film marked her entry into the Hindi film industry, after which she continued to appear in different projects.

Ananya was later seen in The Final Exit (2017). She also appeared in the 2019 film Ghost, which remains one of the projects she is remembered for by audiences.
