Carl Pei's Nothing to hold product roadmap event on March 23, likely to announce first smartphone
The new smartphone is rumoured to feature a transparent design.

The brand has said that it will make announcements about its 2022 product roadmap in the virtual event scheduled for March 23. Although more details of the events are yet to be announced, speculations are rife that the brand may make announcements related to its potential smartphone. In a recent press release that the brand had raised USD 70 million funding (around Rs 534 crore) through venture capital firms C Ventures and EQT Ventures.
“With this round of financing, we have the fuel to realise the next phase of our vision of a seamless digital future,” said Carl Pei, Nothing CEO and Co-founder. “I’m grateful for the support from our community and investors. Our first year was a warmup, and we can’t wait to reveal what we’re building at Nothing during the upcoming event,” said the brand in its statement.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the brand is expected to unveil its first smartphone. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a transparent design on the lines of the brand’s premium earbuds.
Pei’s brand introduced its first product, the Nothing Ear (1) carbon-neutral true wireless earbuds in August 2021. The company has shipped over 400,000 units ever since its launch. It is believed that these premium earbuds are the first step towards a potential ecosystem of connected products from the brand.
