Can't fly to Mars? Nasa is offering a boarding pass in your name with its Red Planet rover

Through a recent tweet, Nasa revealed that when its Mars rover lands on the Red Planet in 2021, it will carry a microchip etched with the names of millions of people.

For those who love to travel, the sky's the limit. Be it mountains or beaches or deserts, travellers can never get enough of anything. However, when it comes to space travel, some limitations come in the way.

But having one's name sent to space isn't that challenging after all. To their surprise, space research agency Nasa may just have opened up the doors to a similar opportunity.

Through a recent tweet, Nasa revealed that when its Mars rover lands on the Red Planet in 2021, it will carry a microchip etched with the names of millions of people. It further said that only 20 days are left for people to have their name added to the microchip, and have it flown to Mars. While sharing a link, Nasa encouraged its followers to be a part of the fun campaign.

"When our #Mars2020 rover lands on the Red Planet in 2021, it will carry a microchip etched with the names of millions of people from planet Earth. Is yours on it? There are 20 days left to get your boarding pass and fly your name on our rover. Book now," it said.
