A week after accusing Paris Saint Germain soccer star Neymar of rape, Brazilian model Najila Trindade has come out to share her story. A Sao Paulo resident, Trindade appeared in an interview with SBT Brazil and described the alleged attack by Neymar. She started by explaining how she met the player.
Trindade explained that she met Neymar on Instagram. After getting to know each other, the two decided to meet. The player reportedly offered to pay for her stay at the five-star Hotel Paris Arc Du Triomphe.
Trindade revealed that she did not talk to Neymar with a 'sexual intention' in the first place. While explaining the incident, she said that after a few minutes of talking, Neymar began caressing her. When she resisted, he resorted to physical abuse and rape.
On Thursday, Trindade released a video of the player fighting with her as evidence of physical abuse. On Wednesday, a report was released which stated that Neymar's victim was heavily bruised. Despite that, the court decided to drop the charges due to contradictory statements from the alleged victim.
After the allegations surfaced, Neymar denied them all and issued evidence to prove his innocence. At present, he has been ruled out from Brazil's Copa America tournament squad due to injuries. Mastercard too, has cancelled an ad campaign with the soccer star.
