Boy turns delivery agent for Zomato following father’s accident, brand offers assistance after video goes viral
The short clip of the boy is going viral on the Internet.

Social entrepreneur, Rahul Mittal, took to his Twitter account to share an inspiring video of a young boy. The boy, whose name is not known, had turned a delivery boy for Zomato after his father met with an accident. In the short video, Mittal can be heard asking the boy questions about his work.
Mittal in his tweet said that the boy went to school in the morning and worked as a delivery boy after 6pm every day. Mittal in his tweet asked netizens to applaud the zeal of the boy and help his father get back on his feet.

The popular food delivery brand told Gadgets 360 that it was grateful to the Internet for bringing the incident to their notice. The company acknowledged that there were manifold violations such as child labour and misrepresentation. Zomato said that it has educated the family on these grounds while not taking any stringent actions considering the circumstances.
“To All those who advocating law here and raising an issue about child labour and policy According to the boy #Zomato have freeze the father id and now he is not doing any labour work and zomato helped them financially too , his father id will unfreeze as soon as he able to work,” read Mittal’s tweet.
“The father onboarded on Zomato post his accident; therefore, the accidental support we offer to our active delivery partners cannot be extended to him. As an exception and on humanitarian grounds, our teams have extended whatever support was possible in the said situation," the Zomato spokesperson was quoted as saying by Gadgets 360.
