Boney Kapoor & family receive 10-year Golden Visa, producer thanks 'dynamic' Dubai govt

Film-maker Boney Kapoor has received the Golden Visa for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 65-years-old producer took to Twitter to share the news and thank the Dubai government for granting him and his family the 10-year visa.

"Grateful to Dubai government for granting me and my family a 10 years golden visa. Dynamic and kind hearted leadership. Best Destination ..... Dubai and UAE #Goldenvisa #Dubai #UAE (sic)," the producer behind 'Mr India' tweeted.



Earlier in May, actor Sanjay Dutt was also granted the Golden Visa. Other Indian entertainment stars who have been given the visa include Shah Rukh Khan, Suniel Shetty, Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Tovino Thomas.

The Golden Visa was instituted by the UAE government in 2019 as a new system which allowed investors (minimum of AED 10 million) and entrepreneurs, as well as professionals and specialised talents like in the field of science, knowledge and sports, to apply for it. These golden visas are issued for five or 10 years and will be renewed automatically.

Legendary actress Sridevi, who was married to Kapoor, had passed away at a Dubai hotel where the couple was staying after attending a family wedding.
