Bigg Boss 20: Rhiti Tiwari said ‘father would be proud’ before Salman Khan questioned her. How Manoj Tiwari reacted to her stint?

Rhiti Tiwari’s recent conduct inside the Bigg Boss 20 house came under scrutiny from Salman Khan during Weekend Ka Vaar, but her father Manoj Tiwari had already given a reaction to her stint on the reality show earlier this week. While Rhiti had said her father would be proud of her, Manoj had a rather different description of how he was watching her journey.

The actor-singer-turned-politician, who previously participated in Bigg Boss, was asked about Rhiti’s stint on the show. His response suggested that watching his daughter navigate the reality show was not exactly an easy experience for him.

According to Bollywood Shaadis, when asked about Rhiti’s participation in Bigg Boss 20, Manoj said he was watching the show and hoping that she remained well inside the house.


“Arre bas Bhagwan thik se rakhe,” he said.

When further asked whether he watches the show, Manoj added, “Darr darr ke dekhta hoon.”

His comments came at a time when Rhiti was beginning to attract attention for her confrontations inside the house. The 25-year-old entered the show wanting to establish her own identity, with her father already being a familiar face to Bigg Boss viewers.

Rhiti’s comments about her father came after a diss battle involving Uditi Singh and Qazi Touqeer.

During the task, Qazi stepped in on Uditi’s behalf after she did not participate in the battle. The exchange between Rhiti and the two contestants became heated, with some of her remarks being muted on the broadcast.


Rhiti later defended the language she had used, saying that the words worked because they rhymed better and describing them as “slang”. While speaking to Mahhi, she also said, “My father would be proud of me for that remark.”

The controversy did not end there. During another exchange, Rhiti referred to her father while warning Qazi about how he might have reacted to the situation.

“Agar mere baap aapko yeh sab karte hue dekh lete toh aapko malum nahi hai aapka kya halat hota,” she said.

Salman Khan brought up Manoj Tiwari

During Saturday’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman addressed Rhiti’s conduct and specifically questioned her statement, “Mere papa hote toh dekh lete.”

He reminded her that Manoj is not only an actor and singer but also a politician and public figure, and pointed out that comments made on national television can have consequences beyond the Bigg Boss house.

Salman also questioned whether Rhiti believed her father would actually approve of the way she had spoken. He objected to her remarks about other contestants’ fathers as well, including, “Tere baap ka naam bhi nahi jaanti main.”

The host further compared Rhiti’s behaviour with that of former contestant Dolly Bindra, who was part of Manoj’s season. Salman told Rhiti, “Aap Manoj Tiwari ki beti ho, Dolly Bindra ki beti nahi ho.”

He later added, “Aap Dolly ban gayi is ghar mein.”
