Only five days are left for Salman Khan to return to television with the new season of Bigg Boss. As Bigg Boss 20 approaches its premiere, several names are being linked to the popular reality show. While some contestants have reportedly been confirmed, others are still in discussions with the makers. Earlier, the makers also introduced two potential contestants whose fate on the show will reportedly be decided through public voting.

Bigg Boss 20 contestant list

According to reports, Bigg Boss 20 is expected to have around 20 contestants. The latest update from The Indian Express reportedly confirms television actor Aman Gandhi as one of the participants. Aman is known for playing Rithik Virani in the television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

The same report suggest that around 16-17 contestants could enter the house on the premiere night, while the remaining participants may join the competition later as wildcard entries.


Among the other names being associated with the show is Isha Rikhi, who was previously married to rapper Badshah. On August 31, both of them announced their separation through their social media handles. According to reports, content creator Jeevika Singh has claimed that Isha has been confirmed for the season. However, the makers have not yet officially announced her participation.




Reality show personality Kushal Tanwar, popularly known as Gullu, social media personalities Qazi Touqeer, Arshifa Khan, Anjali Arora and Aryan Kelvin are also reportedly among the names being considered. Renowned boxer Mary Kom has also been linked to the upcoming season.

Actress Khushi Dubey, Yukti Kapoor and Bhojpuri actor Amrapali Dubey are among the other names reportedly associated with Bigg Boss 20. Geeta Basra and Showik Chakraborty have also been mentioned in reports as likely participants.

However, several names remain uncertain. Niti Taylor, Parth Samthaan, Karan Wahi, Pranali Rathod and Mahhi Vij have reportedly been approached and are said to be in talks with the makers. Their participation cannot be treated as confirmed unless the makers make an official announcement or the celebrities enter the show.

There has also been a change in Rajat Bedi's reported participation. He was earlier said to be confirmed for the season, but the latest update suggests that he will not be seen in Bigg Boss 20.

Two contestants to enter through public voting?

Ahead of the premiere, the makers have reportedly introduced a voting-based twist involving two potential contestants. One of the names mentioned is Rhiya Ahir, who gained attention after a video from a protest in Mumbai went viral.

Rhiya was reportedly seen stopping a Mumbai Police vehicle during the protest. She is said to be competing against Punjabi actress Love Gill for a place in the Bigg Boss 20 house.

The contestants' entry is expected to depend on public support, adding an interactive element even before the main season begins. The makers are yet to reveal the complete official line-up.

The reported format also appears to be different from previous seasons. The theme for Bigg Boss 20 is said to be “Vardhaan”. One of the biggest changes is reportedly the presence of two houses.

According to reports, contestants could get two opportunities in the game. Participants who are moved to the second house may also have a chance to return to the main competition. If implemented as reported, the format could give contestants more opportunities to remain in the game and change their fortunes.

Bigg Boss 20 premiere date, OTT platform and timings

Bigg Boss 20 is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Salman Khan will once again take charge as the host and guide viewers through the contestants' entry into the house.

According to the latest reports, the show will be available to stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm, while the television broadcast on Colors TV is expected at 10:30 pm.

With the premiere only days away, more details about the contestants are expected to emerge. For now, Aman Gandhi is among the names with the strongest confirmation, while Isha Rikhi, Geeta Basra and Showik Chakraborty are also being widely reported as potential participants.

Names such as Kushal Tanwar, Qazi Touqeer, Arshifa Khan, Anjali Arora, Aryan Kelvin, Mary Kom, Khushi Dubey, Yukti Kapoor and Amrapali Dubey have also surfaced in reports. Meanwhile, the participation of Karan Wahi, Niti Taylor, Parth Samthaan, Pranali Rathod and Mahhi Vij remains uncertain.
