Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez give MET Gala a miss, go house-hunting in matching outfits instead

Bennifer 2.0 has been making headlines ever since they got back together in 2021. The supercouple of Hollywood – Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez – gave the MET Gala a miss this week and were spotted far away from the flashing cameras and the red carpet, on the streets of Los Angeles, twinning in grey pants, holding hands as they looked at houses to find their next love nest.

If they had attended the MET Gala together this year, it would have been their first formal red carpet appearance as an engaged couple. Although last year Affleck and Lopez did take on the red carpet, they didn’t pose together. They were, however, seen kissing during the event.

The couple had been looking for a house to set up their abode of love.Reportedly, they almost had a deal on a $55 million Bel-Air mansion. However, that did not materialise due to unknown reasons, so they moved on to check out the late Aaron Spelling’s former estate – originally known as the Spelling Mansion.



Affleck proposed to Lopez for the second time in April, 2022, almost 18 years after their failed engagement in 2004.
The couple got back together in 2021 and announced their engagement in 2022. The ‘Not Your Mama’ singer made an elaborate announcement of the engagement proposal on her website onthejlo.com. The singer said that Affleck popped the question when she was in her bathtub, taking a bubble bath. She revealed that the proposal was very romantic as the love of her life got down on one knee to ask her to marry him.

The singer further revealed that she received a green diamond from the ‘Pearl Harbour’ star and said that she had tears rolling down from her eyes during the proposal. The 52-year-old further stated that green has always been her favourite colour.
