Ben Affleck applauds Jennifer Lopez as she receives the Icon Award at iHeartRadio Music Awards

At the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Ben Affleck was spotted cheering in the audience with his 10-year-old son, Samuel, and Lopez's 14-year-old daughter, Emme. The event took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Ben Affleck, 49, played a supportive boyfriend at the event. They all gazed on as Lopez, dressed in olive-green, walked on the stage to receive the award. Jennifer Lopez, 52, accepted the award from host LL Cool J.

In her winning speech, she appreciated the honor and expressed her love for the awards. She added that she could do stuff that she loves "most in life" because of her fans. Lopez expressed gratitude to all her fans. She thanked and acknowledged all those who "believed in" her for so many years. Before winding up her speech, Lopez introduced a new acronym for the word ICON: "I can overcome Negativity." Her address met a standing ovation.


At the ninth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards, Lopez stunned the stage to perform some of her iconic hits, including "On My Way" and "Get Right." Billy Porter and RuPaul's Drag Race cast joined Lopez for the performance.

At the event, Affleck opted for a black wardrobe theme. He wore a black shirt under a black suit and complemented this with black pants. Samuel wore a blue suit, whereas Emme chose a black polo shirt that complemented her black glasses.

Before breaking off their engagement, the two dated each other from 2002 to 2004. After the singer and Alex Rodrigues parted ways, Lopez and Affleck reconnected their relationship in April 2021. In July 2021, Lopez confirmed that Affleck and herself are back together.
