Be like Papa Kohli and apply for your paternal leave
A delivery that won’t stop the skipper from skipping, may not stop you.

If Virat Kohli’s uxoriousness is ‘too New Age’ for Sunil Gavaskar, then he may be ‘too Old Age’ for our times.
Alarm bells are ringing in HR departments. With the mother of all control freaks, Board of Control for Cricket in India, announcing last month that it has granted paternity leave to Virat Kohli after playing the first Test of four against Australia in Adelaide ending on December 21, firms all over the land are now worried about the precedent set.
If the captain — the team’s star batsman to boot — is allowed to be by his wife’s side as she delivers their baby while a teammate will probably be delivering an off-cutter, what will happen when aam papas-to-be start sending in their leave applications?
Meanwhile, Sunil Gavaskar has pitched in with his own paternalistic take.
‘I did not ask permission to return to be by my wife’s side for the birth. When I left with the Indian team for the [1975-76] twin tour of New Zealand and the West Indies, I was aware that the baby would come while I was away. I was committed to playing for India and my wife backed me to the hilt.’
If Kohli’s uxoriousness (look up the meaning) is ‘too New Age’ for Sunny, then he may be ‘too Old Age’ for our times. But before you send off that PL, gentlemen, remember, Virat has enough heft to get what he wants from his ‘company’. So, ensure your leave of absence from the team when it’s up for a big game won’t mark you as an expendable when you do return.

"The X is just “X” and the A-12 is just “A 12,”” revealed Musk in a podcast.
