Ball in his court

Sometimes, a story makes a real impact off the pages. Like ETPanache’s interview on May 14 with Vivek Ranadive, the Indianborn American software tycoon who is majority owner of NBA franchise Sacramento Kings.

We received an email request from a St Louis parish member in Mumbai to help them reach out to Ranadive (their previous attempts had failed), for support to build a basketball court on its school grounds. A few days later, the parish received word from the Sacramento King’s community impact division about a new court. If all goes well, we’ll be sitting courtside at their first game.
