Congress's Jyotiraditya Scindia, who contested this year's Lok Sabha polls from Guna, lived his 'proud father' moment at Yale University on Sunday. The 48-year-old Congress leader, who has also been entrusted with reviving the party's electoral fortunes in Uttar Pradesh, took to Twitter to share pictures with his son, Mahanaryaman Scindia, who graduated from the prestigious Ivy league University. Also known as Aaryaman, the Scindia scion was conferred with the BA degree by Dean at the Yale commencement ceremony.

Scindia, who has been conspicuous by his absence on Indian TV channels as reactions to Sunday's exit polls came in, tweeted about what had kept him busy. Congratulating his 23-year-old son, he wrote: 'I feel extremely proud as a father today that my son @AScindia graduates from @Yale University. A special moment for the entire family. Proud to be by your side as you graduate, son!'

Congratulatory tweets poured in from Congress leaders RPN Singh and Sitaram Lamba and one from actor Riteish Deshmukh. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's spokesperson, Syed Abbas Ali Zaidi, also had a message for Scindia.
Mahanaryaman has often campaigned for his father from the Guna constituency. This year, he tweeted in his father's support two days before polls kicked off in Guna which voted on the 12th of May in the sixth phase of elections.

Indira Gandhi's sons Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi had politics in their genes. The two scions of the Nehru-Gandhi family were born to India's first and only woman Prime Minister who was the daughter of India's first-ever Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Rajiv Gandhi had two children, Rahul and Priyanka.
Varun Gandhi, the son of Sanjay and Maneka Gandhi, is a part of the BJP. The 39-year-old is at present the Member of Parliament (MP) from the Sultanpur constituency. This year, he is contesting Lok Sabha elections from the Pilibhit constituency.
Rahul Gandhi, the son of Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi, is the current President of the Congress party. The 48-year-old is also the chairperson of the Indian Youth Congress and National Students Union of India. He is also an MP and represents the Amethi constituency. His political career kicked off in 2004 when he contested the Lok Sabha elections from his father's constituency Amethi. He won the elections again in 2009 and served till 2014. This year, he will be contesting elections from Amethi in UP and Wayanad in Kerala.
