Aryan had visited the NCB's office in Mumbai on Friday to mark his weekly presence as per the bail order set by the Bombay High Court.
Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was summoned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) probing the drugs case. However, the 23-year-old skipped the summons for questioning citing fever, an official told PTI.

"But he did not appear before the SIT officials citing fever," PTI said quoting sources. Aryan had visited the NCB's office in Mumbai on Friday to mark his weekly presence as per the bail order set by the Bombay High Court. It was his first visit to the NCB office since his release from Mumbai's Arthur Road jail.

The SIT, which is headed by the NCB's senior officer Sanjay Kumar Singh, reached Mumbai on Saturday, a day after the anti-drugs agency transferred around six cases, including the drugs-on-cruise case, to it for investigation. However, the agency on Sunday quizzed two others, Arbaaz Merchant and Achit Kumar, in the matter for over nine hours, according to a report.

Merchant and Kumar, who were arrested last month and are currently out on bail, arrived at the NCB office in south Mumbai on Sunday separately around 11:30 AM-12 noon. They left the premises at 9 PM, PTI reported.

The NCB had arrested Aryan and at least 19 others in the cruise drugs case last month after a raid was conducted on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on its way to Goa. The SRK's son was released on bail on October 30 after spending over three weeks in custody.

In its bail order, the high court had said that Aryan, Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, will have to surrender their passports before the NDPS court and shall not leave India without taking permission from the special court. Besides, they have to also mark their attendance at the NCB office each Friday between 11 am and 2 pm.
