Bail for Aryan: 'As a dad I am relieved,' tweets Madhavan; for Sonu Sood time is a 'judge'

As the news of Aryan Khan being granted bail by Bombay High Court trickled in, reactions started pouring in. Many took to social media to express their relief at the 23-year-old being given bail after having spent 25 days in custody.

Among the first to express his feelings was actor R Madhavan. The '3 Idiots' actor, showing solidarity with Shahrukh Khan, wrote that "As a father I am so relieved," referring to the recent ordeal that Aryan had to undergo following his arrest on October 3 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

He also expressed hope that may all good and positive things happened here on.


Actor Sonu Sood penned a post in Hindi on Time acting as a judge. The lines, translated to read: "When time judges, then there is no need for witnesses."


One of Aryan's close friends and upcoming Bollywood actress, Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, took to her official Instagram handle to express her joy at her childhood pal getting bail. She posted a picture with Aryan in her Instagram Stories with heart emojis.

Rahul Dholakia, who has directed SRK in 'Raees', also reacted at the HC verdict. Both he and actress Swara Bhasker worded their relief as "Finally".


Advertising veteran and 'Neerja' producer Atul Kasbekar, while hailing the HC nod, posed that the lower courts' decision raises question marks "on their judicial abilities". He also lamented on the lack of agency available to many with "lesser resources".


Shiv Sena spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi hit out at the NCB's approach in hounding a young person and said that the agency "needs to rework on its credibility with officers that have not much of a case but seek personal glory."
