Apple iOS 15 is here! Make way for Spatial Audio, SharePlay, quirky Memoji & more

Alongside iOS 15, Apple also released iPadOS 15, the software update for iPads.

One of the key features in the latest iOS 15 is SharePlay, which will let you keep your FaceTime conversations going as you watch TV shows, movies or listen to music on your screen.
After a lot of anticipation, the tech giant Apple released its latest software update iOS 15 on Monday. The software, which is available for download for free, will help users do more with their iPhone than ever before.

The software went live for download on Monday at 10.30pm for iPhone users in India. Alongside iOS 15, Apple also released iPadOS 15, the software update for iPads.

The tech company had announced the latest software iOS 15 earlier this year at the Worldwide Developers Conference. In this major update, FaceTime gets a face life as it will extend beyond Apple devices, letting users connect via a call from their web browser on Android and Windows devices. But that's just one part of the update. There's a lot more in store for Apple users. Take a look:

SharePlay
SharePlay feature will let you keep your FaceTime conversations going as you watch TV shows, movies or listen to music on your screen. Users can also easily share their screen with family and friends and enjoy a whole new experience.

Spatial Audio
The new feature Spatial Audio will enhance how you hear voices on calls on iPhones. With this new update, individual voices will sound as if they are coming from the direction in which the person is positioned on your screen, making the conversations flow easily.

Grid View
During a FaceTime call, grid view will show people in the same-sized titles, making conversations with large groups all the more interesting. The speaker will be highlighted auotmatically during the call. The latest iOS 15 will also have Portrait Mode, which is inspired by the same feature in Camera. During video calls, when on portrait mode, the background gets blurred out with this feature.

Mic Modes
The new models will help users experience a better audio quality as voice isolation will minimise the background noise and put your voice front and at the centre. With the Wide Spectrum mode, the music or sounds around you that are as important as what you have to say, is left unfiltered as the ambient sound.

Memoji
With iOS 15, iPhone users can now choose outfits for their Memoji and express themselves with new styles and stickers. The accessibility customisations now include cochlear implants, oxygen tubes and soft helmets.
