Ananya Birla croons for Ajay Devgn’s OTT debut ‘Rudra’, adds a haunting & dark quality to the track ‘Inaam’
Birla is an autodidact and she taught herself to play the santoor and the guitar.

Birla, who has been in the music scene for a while now, has a deliciously dark and trippy number called ‘Inaam’ in Ajay Devgn’s OTT debut, ‘Rudra’ which will be available on OTT from March 4. The video of the song, which was unveiled on Wednesday has a haunting and trance-like quality to it, and shows the 27-year-old singer crooning the number, with scenes from the thriller series.

Birla, who is an autodidact when it comes to music (she taught herself to play santoor and the guitar) has also found spaces in between music genres where most Indian artistes are too afraid to venture. Birla is the first artiste in India with the English language single to go platinum in the country. Birla has also been signed by Maverick Management – an LA based music management group.
However, her accomplishments do stop with music. She is also listed as the co-founder and vice chairman of Mpower, a mental health care service. In 2016, Birla also founded the Ikai Asai —- an e-Commerce platform for global luxury.
She has received several accolades already. In 2016, Forbes magazine named her one of Asia's Women to Watch. In the same year, Birla received ET Panache Trendsetters of 2016 award for Young Business Person and in 2018 she was listed as GQ’s Most Influential Indians.
‘Rudra – The Edge of Darkness’ has been made by film-maker Rajesh Mapushkar. Starring Ajay Devgn in a lead role this show will be on Disney+ Hotstar from 4th March.
