Anand Mahindra posts a selfie in good luck charm 'Axar' shades; cricketer says they look cool on him

Business tycoon Anand Mahindra and Team India all-rounder Akshar (Axar) Patel had a warm conversation on Twitter, after the former posted a selfie wearing the 'Axar' shades inspired by the cricketer.

After India's win in the four-match Test series against England, the Mahindra Group chairman, impressed by Patel's performance, had taken to the micro-blogging site to ask Twitterati a place to purchase the shades so he could "commemorate India's victory."

Having found the glasses Mahindra had tweeted that he would watch the 5th T20I while wearing them, hoping that they would turn out to be a 'lucky charm' for Team India.



His tweet was followed by requests to post a selfie in the sun glasses, to which the avid Twitter user replied that he would comply with the requests if India won the series.

Sticking by his word after Team India's victory in the fifth T20I, Mahindra posted a selfie, saying he had "to fulfill a commitment."

"My new good luck charm that’s proven its worth," he tweeted.


The 65-year-old's gesture won Akshar Patel's heart, who quoted his tweet, saying, "The shades look really cool on you, Sir. Thank you so much for the support."


The candid (virtual) conversation didn't end there. With Mahindra taking the opportunity to laud the 27-year-old's talent, saying, "Unfortunately they won’t magically give me the talent you possess."
