Amidst pain and angst, Irrfan Khan's wife issues statement, calls husband and best friend a 'true warrior'

Ever since Irrfan Khan tweeted about his health, the matter has become a cause of concern for scores of fans. Multiple rumours have also begun to do the rounds, speculating that the actor may be suffering from brain cancer and has been admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital. However, hospital authorities squashed these rumours.

Now the actor's wife, Sutapa Sikdar who is a producer and writer has opened up on social media about the family’s struggle. In her gracious Facebook post on behalf of her family, she referred to her husband, as her best friend and partner.

While thanking everyone for their concern and politely asking the well-wishers and followers to steer clear of speculation, she wrote, "I know curiosity germinates from concern but lets turn our curiosity from what it is to what it should be. Lets change the leaf. Lets not waste our precious energies to only know what it is and just prey to make it what it should be."

On the work front, Khan has a movie titled 'Blackmail' releasing on April 6. The film has been directed by Abhinay Deol, and also stars Kirti Kulhari and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.

Vishal Bhardwaj has put his next project with the actor on hold in wake of the ill health of the lead actor of his film.
