Ambanis, Ratan Tata, Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi were among guests at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

After a landslide victory in the 16th Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi was, on Thursday, sworn-in as the 16th Prime Minister of India at a glittering ceremony.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt saw Asia's richest man, Mukesh Ambani and wife Nita, among the first guests at the ceremony. They were accompanied by their youngest son Anant.

The RIL Chairman was spotted wearing his trademark white shirt and blue suit, while Mrs Ambani sported a heavily-embroidered red salwar kameez. Anant was formally dressed in a blue bandhgala.

Tata group chairman emeritus Ratan Tata - flanked by TCS chairman N Chandrashekharan and his wife, were also at the ceremony, as was Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi.

Paytm boss Vijay Shekhar Sharma, also among the guests, shared a picture from the event on Twitter.


Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was also among those in attendance. The Ambanis were seen having a quick chat with the spiritual leader, who was flocked by some guests as soon as he walked in.

Actor Sunny Deol, who won by a margin of 77,000 from Gurdaspur, was also seen at the ceremony. The actor kept it formal in a black shirt an trousers with a grey blazer.

Author Amish Tripathi, who attended the ceremony in beige pants paired with an off-white Nehru jacket, shared a picture from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.


Singer Asha Bhosle was also seen in the second row at the event. The septuagenarian singer was in a silk saree, with her trademark string of pearls.

Among other big names attending today's swearing-in include actors Rajinikanth, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Mini Mathur, Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and film-maker Karan Johar.

The Tamil superstar opted for a white kurta while his wife Latha Rajinikanth was dressed in a pink saree.

Johar, who was also part of the Bollywood delegation that met PM Modi earlier this year, was dressed in a black achkan for the ceremony.

Kher and Kapoor, who had earlier travelled to Delhi together, shared pictures on social media thanking President Ram Nath Govind for the invitation. 'The Accidental Prime Minister' actor also shared a picture of the invite.



Kangana Ranaut, an open supporter of PM Modi, opted for an ivory and gold Raw Mango saree for the evening.

Narendra Modi on Thursday was sworn-in as the 16th Prime Minister of India at a glittering ceremony in the Rashtrapai Bhawan forecourt. Modi, who swore-in for the second consecutive term today, stuck to his iconic look and sported a white kurta pyjama and grey Nehru jacket for the event. A star studded affair, the ceremony witnessed top industrialists, actors, directors and spiritual leaders in attendance.

The first few to be spotted were the Ambanis. The RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani was accompanied by wife Nita and son Anant. Others at the occasion were Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata. The Emeritus boss sat next to the Ambanis in the front row.

From the film fraternity, actress Kangana Ranaut, actor Anupam Kher and Vivek Oberoi joined the guest list. Newly-elected Gurdaspur MP Sunny Deol was also spotted at the event.
