The 'More' option has been relocated from the hamburger menu to the main navigation bar.
Amazon’s Alexa app is getting a makeover, with both functional and cosmetic changes. It will now have a new home screen with revamped navigation. Amazon hopes these will showcase Alexa-centric skills and offer a more personalised experience.

Third-party skills will be replaced from the home screen, and the vacated space will be taken by first-party features such as personalised suggestions based on usage of Alexa. For those using Alexa to play music, perform voice-controlled tasks using connected devices, these commands will now appear prominently on the app

According to Amazon, returning users will now be shown controls for active features that will let them, say, control the volume of their Amazon Echo speaker. New users will get suggestions on how to get started with Alexa, as well as other popular Amazon products like Prime Video or Music.

The position of the Alexa button has been changed to the top of the screen from the bottom, which Amazon insists will make it easier to discover. The voice assistant can also be activated hands-free by saying “Alexa.”

The “More” option has been relocated from the hamburger menu to the main navigation bar, making it easier to access features like routines, skills, settings, and reminders. The new features will be rolled out in August and will be available on iOS, Android, and Fire OS.
