With the onset of the digital age, there emerged several e-commerce giants in India which ushered in the era of online shopping. In 2013, Amazon.in went live and changed the way we shop forever. On the 7th anniversary of the online portal, Global Senior V-P and Country Head of Amazon.in, Amit Agarwal, took to Twitter to share a throwback post.

Sharing a photograph from the early days of Amazon, the top boss couldn’t help but get a little nostalgic, as he took a walk down memory lane. Looking back on his journey, Agarwal said that he vividly remembers the day, and back then, their entire team could fit in one room.

Calling his journey ‘extraordinary’, the entrepreneur said, ‘even after 7 years, it still feels like Day 1.’

Nostalgia gripped the netizens too, as they lauded Agarwal for his fantastic journey, and appreciated Amazon.in for consistently performing well. From starting Amazon in a rented office in Hyderabad with 4 other people to employing over 15,000 people in a 9.7 acre sprawling office, Agarwal has come a long.

When Bezos visited India, he engaged in a conversation with Agarwal about the vision of Amazon India and how the two plan to expand the company and take it to great heights.

“Professionally, I want to go deeper into Artificial Intelligence (AI). I don’t know much about the subject. So, I will be spending a lot of time reading on it. I will be dabbling in articles on AI and coding sites on the internet. There are many DIY websites too that I am going to log in to learn about regression analysis using the AI model.”
