Alok Nath quashes rape claims; director says she's not a victim
The woman director also recalled that most of her industry friends advised her to let it go.

In a statement to Times Now, the actor denied any role, and said, "It must have happened, but someone else would have done it. Now that the matter has come out it will be stretched."
Meanwhile, TV director Vinta Nanda in an interview to the news channel, said that while she did tell her friends from the industry about being harassed by Nath, she was advised to let it go. The 'Tara' director also said that she would have probably 'given the same advice to someone in her situation had that person reached out as the atmosphere at that time was not conducive to have such a conversation'.
"I learnt to live with it, I was never a victim," she said.
The film-maker went on to say that she even wrote an article in a magazine, and gave an interview at the time, but no one spoke about it then.
When asked what provoked her to talk about it two decades on, she emphasised that she wanted to get "the weight off my chest, not to get him punished."
"I will talk to my advisers about what has to be done next," she added.
