After unveiling their first looks from the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansalis' movie Love & War, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal turned showstoppers at designer Manish Malhotra’s fashion show in Mumbai. The actors walked the ramp at the designer’s showcase on September 26, wearing contrasting ivory and midnight-blue outfits from his latest collection. The event also celebrated 15 years of association with the Mijwan Welfare Society.

Their appearance comes shortly after the first looks of Love & War were released on social media, giving fans another chance to see the actors together along with Ranbir Kapoor. Videos from their ramp walk have since surfaced on social media, with their outfits and chemistry becoming a talking point among fans.

Alia Bhatt stuns in bridal-inspired ivory saree

Alia Bhatt made a statement in a custom ivory chikankari saree designed by Manish Malhotra. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the actor’s look had a bridal touch, with intricate embroidery and detailed embellishments across the outfit.


According to the details shared about the look, the saree featured delicate chikankari work, shimmering sequins, silver embellishments and scalloped borders. The pallu was draped over her shoulder, allowing the blouse and the intricate detailing on the saree to remain visible.

Alia paired the saree with a bandeau-style blouse. She also wore a matching sheer floor-length veil over her head. The actor completed the outfit with statement jewellery. She wore a diamond-and-pearl necklace set in white gold, along with statement earrings, a maang tikka and diamond-encrusted haath phools on both hands.

For her beauty look, Alia opted for a centre-parted sleek bun and dewy makeup. Glossy pink lips, smoky eyes, mascara-coated lashes, lightly rouged cheeks, highlighter and soft contouring completed her look.

Vicky Kaushal complements Alia in midnight blue

Vicky Kaushal took the ramp alongside Alia in a midnight-blue and ivory sherwani set by Manish Malhotra. His outfit featured a white kurta, matching flared pants and a bandhgala jacket.

The jacket was the highlight of the look, with intricate chikankari embroidery and sequin detailing. It featured a collared neckline, padded shoulders, full-length sleeves and an open front with a single-button closure.

Vicky accessorised the sherwani with diamond jewellery, including a diamond-encrusted chain and statement rings. He completed the look with white juttis, swept-back hair and a rugged beard.

Together, Alia and Vicky created a contrasting yet coordinated look on the ramp and fans are now swooning over their looks.

The fashion show came soon after Alia and Vicky unveiled their first looks from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War. The film brings the two actors together with Ranbir Kapoor and is among the most anticipated upcoming Hindi films.

The Mumbai showcase also had a special significance for Manish Malhotra. The event celebrated 15 years of association with the Mijwan Welfare Society, which has worked to support traditional artisan craft.
