Alia Bhatt (L) and Shaheen Bhatt (R) won over netizens with their soulful voice.
In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic wreaking havoc on the lives of frontlines warriors, daily wage workers and migrant labourers, the who’s who of Bollywood, came together on Sunday for a live concert ‘I for India’ in a bid to raise funds for those worst-hit by the pandemic. The concert saw several B-Town celebs sing songs, recite poetry and perform for their fans.

Actress Alia Bhatt and sister Shaheen Bhatt also participated in the concert and crooned soulful renditions of the songs ‘Ikk Kudi’ from the film ‘Udta Punjab’ and the classic ‘Dil Hai Ki Maanta Hai’ along with musician Ankit Tewari. Tewari took to Twitter to share the video of the mashup of the two hit numbers.

‘A big thank you to all who watched and contributed,’ wrote Tewari in the caption.

Needless to say, the Bhatt sisters left everyone mesmarised with their performance. The duo, after their performance, said that those who have the power to bring a change in lives of those affected by the pandemic must step up and do their bit.

‘War’ star Hrithik Roshan also performed for his fans at the ‘I for India’ concert. In a video posted on his Instagram account, Roshan said that he will be singing and playing the piano and that he is good at neither.

The actor then went on to sing the classic ‘Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahaan’ and left the viewers spell-bound with his performance.

Actress Alia Bhatt is no stranger to filmdom. Being born to filmy parents - her father Mahesh Bhatt has produced and directed blockbusters in the '90s while her mother Soni Razdan has been a versatile actress - it was natural that she follow in their footsteps.

Thus it was no surprise when at 19, she made a stunning debut in Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year' in 2012. The film, a teeny-bopper romance, went on to become a runaway hit - and Alia Bhatt had arrived.

Seven years and 12 movies after ruling the silver screen as the leading lady, she has made a mark for herself with her acting, vivaciousness and versatility. With 'Kalank' and 'Brahmastra' lined up for release later this year, there's hope among her fans that she will be able to strike gold, again, at the box-office.

As she turns 26, we take a look at all the films where she made an impression.
