'Here's to another year full of blockbusters': Madhuri Dixit wishes birthday girl Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt rang in her 27th birthday playing board games surrounded by friends. The 'Highway' star took to Instagram Stories to share glimpses of the celebration.

Meanwhile, birthday wishes also poured in for Bhatt in the virtual world.

Actress Madhuri Dixit wished her 'Kalank' co-star with an adorable tweet, saying, "I hope that your hard work takes you to greater heights every day. May your energy and zest for life get stronger every year. Here's to another year full of blockbusters and achieving new goals. Happy birthday @aliaa08".

Bhatt's mother Soni Razdan took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse of the actress's childhood. Sharing pictures on the social media, she wrote, "Happy Birthday my baby girl! To me, this is how you will always feel. A sweet little baby that I need to look after and make sure your life is going as per plan. Of course these days I am not required to look after you much and that's as it should be. But once a mother as they say .... all I wish for you is to stay safe and healthy particularly in these days of health anxiety. So this year my birthday wish is all tied up with good health! Have a wonderful day today and a healthy safe and at the same time productive year to come.

'Gully Boy', 'Udta Punjab' & 'Raazi': Everytime Alia Bhatt Set The Screen On Fire
1/6
Actress Alia Bhatt is no stranger to filmdom. Being born to filmy parents - her father Mahesh Bhatt has produced and directed blockbusters in the '90s while her mother Soni Razdan has been a versatile actress - it was natural that she follow in their footsteps.

Thus it was no surprise when at 19, she made a stunning debut in Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year' in 2012. The film, a teeny-bopper romance, went on to become a runaway hit - and Alia Bhatt had arrived.

Seven years and 12 movies after ruling the silver screen as the leading lady, she has made a mark for herself with her acting, vivaciousness and versatility. With 'Kalank' and 'Brahmastra' lined up for release later this year, there's hope among her fans that she will be able to strike gold, again, at the box-office.

As she turns 26, we take a look at all the films where she made an impression.
