NEW DELHI: Post October 28, the AQI (Air Quality Index) levels in Delhi and parts of North India have become dangerously high. On November 3, the AQI level in several parts of Delhi crossed the hazardous 999-mark. Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to social media to express his concerns at the deteriorating air quality in North India.
The spin-bowler, in a 2-minute-long video, talked about how everyone is responsible for air pollution and that we should take a pledge to look after the environment.

"I want to speak about the pollution in the North India. We all are a cause for it, including me. We drive cars and burn fuel and cause harm to the environment. We have learnt over the last few years that fodder burning also causes a lot of pollution, the cricketer says.
Citing the harm being caused to children, he also pointed out that life expectancy is likely to be reduced by 7-10 years for those exposed to such poor air conditions.
