At 50, Shilpa Shetty continues to defy age and looks as fabulous and toned as ever. In an old interview with Pinkvilla, the ‘Dhadkan’ actress revealed she owes her perfect ten figure and age-defying looks to her simple and clean diet.

Her day begins with a glass of warm water mixed with four drops of noni juice, followed by oil pulling with cold-pressed coconut oil for about ten minutes. She usually wakes around 7 a.m., with breakfast scheduled between 7:30 and 8 a.m.

The morning meal is rich in fibre, typically oats or muesli combined with fruits like bananas, grated apples, or blueberries. To keep sugar levels minimal, she relies on natural alternatives such as honey or jaggery. On certain days, breakfast is a smoothie made from almond milk, banana, oats, honey, and seasonal fruits.


In her book ‘The Great Indian Diet,’ which she co-authored with celebrity nutritionist Luke Coutinho, the ‘Baazigar’ star revealed she sometimes begins her day with a drink that consists of aloe vera juice, tusi leaves, jaggery, and ginger.

Around mid-morning, she includes two eggs paired with raw avocado, whole wheat toast spread with butter, and a cup of tea.

Lunch remains her most filling meal, usually brown rice with chicken or fish, accompanied by simple salads or a yogi bowl of grains, greens, and vegetables. Evening snacks feature sandwiches or eggs. In her book, she mentioned that sometimes, she opted for 8-10 roasted makhanas with low-fat hummus or avocado dip.

She has a light dinner between 7:30 and 8:00 pm. It usually consists of soup, grilled dishes, or mushroom hotpot rice. Sometimes, her meal is accompanied by a salad that consists of tomato, sprouts, apple, beetroot and lettuce
