— ANI (@ANI) 1634907130000On Thursday, she was questioned for over two hours by the anti-drugs agency in the drugs-on-cruise case. The NCB on Thursday questioned the actress after her name allegedly cropped up in WhatsApp chats during the agency's probe in the drugs-on-cruise case in which, Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, has been arrested.
On Wednesday, the anti-drugs agency raided Ananya's house in Bandra before sending her a summon to appear before it later in the day to record her statement. The NCB officials seized her laptop and mobile phone during the raid. The actress then reached the NCB office along with her actor father at around 4pm for questioning.
An NCB team had also paid SRK's residence a visit to collect a few documents from the house just hours after the actor finally met his son in-person after the Maharashtra government relaxed the visiting rules for prisoners and undertrial inmates in Arthur Road jail which were placed in the wake of Covid-19. Aryan is currently lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road jail and will stay locked there in judicial custody until October 30 or granted bail by the court.
The Bombay High Court on Thursday scheduled the 23-year-old's bail hearing in the matter for October 26 and has also requested the NCB to submit its reply by Monday. So far, Aryan's bail plea has been rejected by local and special court several times.
Aryan, along with others, was arrested by the NCB on October 3 after the agency conducted a raid on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast on its way to Goa.
