NCB conducts search at SRK's Bandra home 'Mannat' to pick up a 'few documents'; Ananya Pandey's house raided

The Narcotics Bureau Control (NCB) on Thursday conducted multiple searches at the residencies of Bollywood celebrities just hours after the Bombay High Court scheduled the bail hearing for Aryan Khan on October 26 in drugs-on-cruise case.

The anti-drugs agency searched Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's house in Bandra, 'Mannat', after the actor visited his son in Mumbai's Arthur Road jail. The anti-drugs agency was at the actor's house to pick up a few documents, it said in a release.

A statement attributed to Sameer Wankhede, the NCB's Zonal Director, clarified that the team at SRK's house had visited to seek certain documents related to the probe and said that it wasn't a raid.


" Today, a team of NCB Mumbai Zonal Unit Officials visited 'Mannat', the residence of Aryan Khan in connection with Cr 94/21 for seeking certain material related to the investigation of the case from Shah Rukh Khan, father of Aryan by following due procedure of notice etc. It wasn’t a raid as erroneously reported in certain sections/channels of media."



However, another team of the NCB officers raided actress Ananya Pandey's house in Bandra. The NCB has also summoned the actress, daughter of actor Chunky Pandey, for questioning at the agency's Mumbai office today. Ananya is a close friend of Aryan, who was arrested by the agency in a drugs case earlier this month.

The NCB was captured leaving Ananya's house with several bags in their possession. So far, the agency hasn't made a statement on what was recovered from the house.


Bollywood is under the scanner of the NCB since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The agency had earlier arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty after filing a drugs case against them. The two were later released on bail after serving some time in jail. The agency has so far questioned big names from the film fraternity such as Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor.

Earlier this month on October 2, the anti-drugs agency conducted a drug bust at a cruise ship headed to Goa off the Mumbai coast. The NCB had arrested SRK's son Aryan Khan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant among others from the location in the matter. Aryan is currently lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road jail under judicial custody after his bail plea was denied by the local court.

Aryan's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde on Wednesday knocked on the Bombay High Court's door for bail and requested for an urgent hearing on the matter. The court on Thursday picked up the case and scheduled the matter for October 26. The HC has asked the NCB to submit its reply by Monday.

SRK's house searched hours after he visits son in jail
Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday finally had the chance to meet his son Aryan, who is currently lodged in Arthur Road prison in Mumbai, after the Maharashtra government relaxed Covid-19 norms on visiting restrictions for prisoners and undertrial inmates in prison on October 21.

This was SRK's first in-person meet with his son in over 19 days since Aryan's arrest by the NCB. Hours later, the agency reached the actor's house in Bandra, known as 'Mannat', to get some documents.
