Adidas is one of the preferred brands for consumers when it comes to running shoes. Today, Adidas announced their latest running shoe called ALPHAEDGE 4D. This is the first shoe to come with Adidas’s new 4D midsole.
4D midsole is Adidas's latest innovation for runners be it a professional athlete or a regular gym user. Adidas claims that the new 4D midsole is designed to deliver the most intuitive energy return on running shoes. In addition, it also adds breathable cushioning for runners. The midsole is printed with light and oxygen, using Digital Light Synthesis, - a process that uses digital light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins.
For the outsole, Adidas has used Continental rubber outsole that comes with engineered traction zones which provides superior grip and traction irrespective of terrain. On the top is a Primeknit upper woven using Forgefiber technology. Forgefiber uses a TPU-coated yarn which enhances performance while providing support and comfort during any kind of movement be it sharp turns or any workout.
Speaking at the launch, Klaus Rolshoven, Director of Future Design, Adidas said, “Adidas 4D is our most ambitious midsole to date. What started out as a conceptual FUTURECRAFT innovation, has not only allowed us to completely re-think our manufacturing processes but to create a data-driven experience that breaks new ground in performance capability and comfort.”

The Alphaedge 4D will be available for purchase in India starting November 17th at a price of Rs 27,999. It will be available at select Adidas stores and on Adidas India e-store (https://shop.adidas.co.in).
