Adidas Originals POD-S3.1 at Rs 12,999 offers a stylish classic design with modern features

In the ’90s, Adidas made a mark with its two-tone shoe design — now counted as a classic. Adidas is bringing this classic design back, albeit in a modern avatar called the P.O.D-S3.1. The shoe comes with what they call a podular design. There are three distinct, identifiable elements on the shoe: Boost heel, EVA front foot and the P.O.D. bridge.
The front is made of high rebound EVA foam material that offers soft cushioning. On top is a breathable knitted mesh, with Adidas’ trademark stripes on the side. The mesh adds to the overall comfort because it provides space for your foot to stretch during movement.
Taking care of your leather and suede shoes can get cumbersome. It is extremely important to invest in good shoe-care products like brush, spray, polish, etc. to increase the life of your footwear.
Synthetics/vegan options (also called as suede) are best for summer season as they are naturally water-resistant, light and absorb sweat. Shop for natural materials such as faux leather, cotton or canvas more than synthetic uppers. These fabrics help your feet breathe easy and stay comfortable in the summer heat.

We love it because of the excellent energy return it provides while running —the energy return gives an extra push for better performance. The third critical element is the flexible P.O.D bridge for better arch support. P.O.D. stands for Point of Deflection, a cushioning system by Adidas inspired by their Torsion system from the ’90 s. This P.O.D. bridge connects the front and rear of the shoe, allowing for improved shock absorption. In addition, the midsole adjusts to the curve of your foot.
The combination of these three elements on a single shoe delivered really good comfort during our tests. Keep in mind that the P.O.D-S3.1 looks slightly chunky due to the thick rubber outsoles. This was a matter of personal taste because we found that some loved the design, while many didn't. You can't deny the amount of comfort these shoes offer, though.
In our opinion, the Adidas P.O.D-S3.1 is a fusion of the best of Adidas technologies from the past and the present to enhance the user’s natural motion. If you are on the lookout for a sneaker that offers a classic design with modern features, you can't go wrong with the P.O.D-S3.1.
