Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh’s 350 cc Royal Enfield bike gets a bobber makeover: What makes this motorcycle different

Fatima Sana Shaikh has added a new ride to her garage. The actress, who was last seen in the JioHotstar crime-drama series Hunkkaar, alongside Aneet Padda has purchased a Royal Enfield Meteor 350, which has ben specially customised into a proper bobber-style motorcycle. Fatima, shared a slew of pictures of the swanky 2-wheeler on Instagram, built through a collaboration between Bombay Custom Works, YC Design Motorcycles and Buzz Moto. The standard Royal Enfield has been transformed into a stripped-back, single-seater custom.

In the post, Fatima revealed that watching her bike finally come together has been a ‘special feeling’ and she hadn’t stopped smiling ever since. ‘What started as an idea became something so beautiful, detailed and completely me,’ she wrote.

The carousel opened to a video of Fatima unveiling the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. She struck some poses with the bike as well as the team. Fatima also gave a closer look at her prized possession in a few of the images. Reacting to the post, actress Dia Mirza called the bike and its details ‘stunning’.

Salient features of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350

In Fatima’s customised motorcycle, the rear has been pared down to create a cleaner profile, while bespoke body panels and the low-riding stance give the bike a more rugged, old-school character, as per Cartoq. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by a 349cc single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine, producing 20.2 Bhp and 27 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle’s relaxed riding position is supported by a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel. Meanwhile, the relatively low seat makes the bike accessible and comfortable for everyday riding. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has also attracted many women riders, partly because of this approachable seat height.

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is equipped with modern conveniences, including LED lights, Tripper navigation, a Type-C charging port and a slip-and-assist clutch. Its popularity is reflected in its sales numbers. As per Cartoq, the Meteor 350 sold 9,921 units in January this year. Globally, it also crossed 600,000 sales, becoming Royal Enfield’s highest-selling J-Series motorcycle worldwide.
