Actor-director Rajiv Kapoor, younger brother of Rishi, passes away at 58
Tragedy struck the Kapoor household in Mumbai on Tuesday morning after actor and film-maker Rajiv Kapoor, son of iconic director-actor Raj Kapoor, passed away. He was 58.

The Times of India reported that Kapoor Jr, popularly known as Chimpu, suffered a heart attack. His eldest brother Randhir rushed him to Mumbai's Inlaks Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.

Randhir confirmed the news to TOI, saying, "I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him."

The youngest of the Kapoor brothers, Rajiv was known for his performance in the 1985 film 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili', Raj Kapoor's last directorial venture. His last on-screen outing as a hero was in 'Zimmedaar'. In between he starred in a few films which didn't fare too well at the box-office.

He later went on to direct elder brother Rishi and Madhuri Dixit-Nene in 'Prem Granth'. Dixit-Nene remembered the 'wonderful moments' they shared while working on the film.
