For those looking for an in with the Hinduja Group co-chairman Gopichand (GP) Hinduja, a trip to St James’s Park might be in order. During a recent global business summit, Hinduja confessed to taking quick, on-the-spot business decisions, most notably during his morning walks.

“Many of my decisions are taken in St James’s Park while walking. Any businessman comes with any proposal, I tell him to come for a walk and I give him a coffee,” said the London-based billionaire, who lives in a sprawling six-storeyed Carlton House terrace mansion close to Buckinghham palace, overlooking the park. “I walk exactly at 7.45 till 8.45 (am) and from 8.45 to 8.55 (am), there is a coffee free of cost.”

Gopichand is not the only Hinduja brother to enjoy the benefits of St James’s Park. During an interview with a newspaper, the eldest brother Srichand (SP) mentioned how a daily dawn walk feeding squirrels’ peanuts had helped him master financial prudence. “They take one and save two,” he explained.
