A Berry Kanji recipe that will make Holi a delightful affair!

What is Holi without some delectable food and drinks. And who said you can't be healthy while you celebrate.

Which is we why we got Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort's Chef Shivanand Kain to share his secret to making the Kanji, also known as the Indian probiotic drink.

Go ahead, give this Berry Kanji a try, and trust us you won't regret it.


Ingredients

Frozen berries: 50 gm
Hing: 2 gm
Ajwain: 2 gm

Black salt: 5 gm
Salt: 5 gm
Chat masala: 2 gm
Charcoal: For smoke
Cloves: 6 buds
Cardamom: 6
Oil: 5 ml
Mint: Few Sprigs

Lemon: 1

Method
- Coarsely blend frozen berries in blender.

- Take ajwain, black salt, salt, chat masala in a mixing bowl and stir well.
- Add water to dilute the mixture.
- Take oil and hing in a laddle and heat. Then add it to the mixture. Stir well.
- Take charcoal in small bowl and put cloves, cardamom and ghee for smoke.
- Put the bowl with the mixture inside and cover with lid.
- Remove and serve chilled.
- Garnish with sprig of mint and lemon wedge.
