18,300 sq ft fortress, infinity pool, glass walls: Inside the $47 million Beverly Hills mansion where Taylor Swift shot Patient Zero

Taylor Swift released the official music video of her latest song Patient Zero at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on September 27. The track features Swift alongside Hollywood stars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell as a seemingly perfect couple. Their love story, however, turns toxic with the visuals and lyrics revealing that Swift was the first victim of Farrell’s brutality. While Patient Zero has hit the right chords with fans, the Brutalist-style mansion in Beverly Hills where the music video was shot has grabbed attention simultaneously.

All about Taylor Swift’s Patient Zero mansion

According to a report by People magazine, the sprawling 18,300 sq ft estate, with 5 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, was designed by acclaimed design firm the ID Group. Property records reveal that it was sold for $46.95 million this year in June.

Constructed in 2014, the architectural fortress, perched in Beverly Hills, gives off a dark, imposing vibe, resembling a James Bond villain’s lair. Alongside picturesque views of the Los Angeles skyline, the dramatic abode houses retractable glass walls in the living room which opens to an infinity pool, overlooking the city, as per Esquire magazine.

Salient features of the mansion

The curved exterior gives off a Bond-esque aesthetic while a circular motor court, made from 96 poured-concrete columns with exposed tie holes, is heavily inspired by Stonehenge. Aluminium hardware furnishings and a metal bathtub add to the steely, cold vibe of the mansion, perfectly blending with the plot of Patient Zero.

A couple of days ago, while sharing glimpses of Patient Zero on Instagram, Swift opened up about why she chose the particular house. The Grammy-winning star revealed that she was able to explore the cinematic and literary genres, incporprating elements of gothic ghost stories, true crime, and psychological thrillers. Meanwhile, the house served as a metaphor for Johnson and Farrell’s cold relationship.
