The superstar assured the Indian cricket team that '130 cr people are rooting for them'.
As India waits with bated breath for the ongoing T20 World Cup, the Shahenshah of Bollywood has wasted no time in wishing the men in blue all the best for their upcoming match. Amitabh Bachchan was seen reciting a poem in honour of the Indian cricket team on his super-hit television game show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Sony TV which broadcasts the show took to Twitter, to share a small clip of the Big B reciting a couplet to inspire the cricket team. The clip was accompanied by a post.
The post read, “Iss Sunday hone waali T20 Worldcup match ke liye @SrBachchan ji aur KBC ki team ki taraf se #TeamIndia ko all the best! Dekhiye #KaunBanegaCrorepati, aaj raat 9 baje, sirf Sony par. #KBC2022.”

In the clip, the 80-year-old superstar can be heard saying, “130 crore people are supporting you, go bring the T20 World Cup home, and give us a reason to celebrate like the 2007 Triumph.” Bachchan assured the team leader Rohit Sharma that they have the support of the nation. “Give your best, the nation is with you,” he concludes.
The heartfelt poem addresses ‘nili jersey waalo’ (Blue jersey wearers). The ‘Agneepath’ star goes on to add that they (the Indian cricket team) have the backing of 130 crore people. He finally requests the team to lift up the ‘Vishwacup’ (worldcup) and plant the ‘Tiranga’ (Tri-colour) at the stadium. The poem is accompanied by several enthusiastic claps from the audience.
On Sunday , the Indian cricket team will face Pakistan on the cricket field. The match will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Many cricket fans are hoping that the cricket team will avenge the loss of the T20 World Cup of 2021 by inflicting a crushing defeat on Pakistan.
