Story inspired by a real-life battle

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, 120 Bahadur is based on the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. The film recounts the last stand of 120 soldiers from Charlie Company of the 13 Kumaon Regiment, who defended their post against an estimated 3,000 Chinese troops under extreme weather conditions and without artillery support. Armed mainly with rifles and bayonets, the soldiers fought until the end, with only six survivors. The story focuses on courage, duty, and sacrifice, while also bringing attention to a lesser-known chapter of Indian military history.

Farhan Akhtar plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who led the company during the battle and was later awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his leadership. Raashii Khanna appears as his wife, Shagun Kanwar.
