IIT Kharagpur completes placement with 1275 offers from 192 companies

NEW DELHI: IIT Kharagpur has completed the phase 1 of placement this year with over 1275 offers from 192 companies. This year many IT-Software, Ecommerce, Finance and Analytics companies including the core engineering firms participated in the placement.

About 40% of the profiles offered are in IT-Software followed by 20% in core engineering, 15% each in analytics and e-Commerce and 10% in finance.

Recruiters who made large number of hires include Google, Apple, Microsoft, EXL, Intel, Tata Steel, Flipkart, L&T Construction, Mahindra & Mahindra, TVS Motors, HSBC, Quantiphi, JP Morgan, Capgemini etc.


The number of international offers stands at 23 with Japan contributing the highest number of offers and Germany being a first time recruiter, the institute shared in a release.
