HSBC India looking for talent in retail, commercial banking

MUMBAI: HSBC is currently investing significantly in India as a growth market and at the moment looking for talent for hiring across verticals and functions.

“In India we are hiring and our businesses are growing. As of now we are investing in numbers and we are hiring across verticals with focus on retail and commercial banking,” said Vikram Tandon, head of human resources, HSBC India.

HSBC had earlier announced plans of significant job cuts across the globe to curtail rising salary cost and this included some staff retrenchment in India as well.

“We had our share our rightsizing as part of global restructuring exercise. That has led to improved processes, quicker decision making, greater empowerment and improving customer experience,” said Tandon.
