BANGALORE: Despite selective hiring practiced in sectors like construction, insurance, IT and ITeS industries, Bangalore has seen a 14% increase in their hiring compared to last year.

Selective hiring is happening across most sectors now. However, the next few months will be challenging for the overall recruitment market in India" said Hitesh Oberoi, Managing Director and CEO, Info Edge India

Software services, banking and pharmaceutical industries have seen an uptick in their recruitment in June compared to same period last year by 9%, 16% and 19%. Automotive and heavy machinery have not seen any change while construction and ITeS have slumped by 17% and 10% in June compared to last year.

Those in sales and business development have in demand while those in project management and BPO have not seen much movement in their profiles.
