The airline, which began operations in August 2022, said the achievement reflects its strong growth trajectory and increasing customer preference in India’s competitive aviation market. It has consistently reported among the highest passenger load factors (PLF) in the industry, indicating robust demand and network efficiency.

Commenting on the milestone, founder and CEO Vinay Dube said the airline’s growth has been driven by a focus on reliability and customer experience, along with a disciplined approach to scaling operations.
Akasa Air currently operates a fleet of 35 aircraft and has placed an order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX planes, with the majority scheduled for delivery over the next six years. The airline said this expansion will support its plans to tap rising domestic and international travel demand.

The carrier has also introduced customer-focused services such as its pet travel offering, which has facilitated travel for over 10,000 pets, and its onboard meal service Café Akasa, which has served more than 6.5 million meals.
Akasa Air presently connects 32 destinations, including 26 domestic and six international cities, and aims to build a larger, future-ready network as part of its long-term growth strategy.
