YU Televentures will sell its gadgets through brick-and-mortar retail chains, becoming the latest 'online only' brand to foray into offline space.

KOLKATA: YU Televentures, a smartphone brand founded by Micromax cofounder Rahul Sharma, will sell its gadgets through brick-and-mortar retail chains, becoming the latest 'online only' brand to foray into offline space after Xiaomi and Motorola.

YU has entered into a strategic partnership with Reliance Retail to offer a touch-andfeel option to consumers and said the devices will now be sold through 30,000 retail outlets across India, it said in a release on Monday. Company founder Sharma said Reliance Retail will be key part of the telecom ecosystem and the strategic partnership will enable the company to add more functionality to its products, which will benefit from the fourth generation network roll out by Reliance Jio Infocomm soon.
