Ecommerce firm Flipkart ropes in three senior technology executives from rival Amazon, Google and Microsoft

Lakshminarayanan, who will lead the expansion of Flipkart’s digital product offerings, has been working with Microsoft in Hyderabad.

NEW DELHI: India’s top ecommerce firm Flipkart on Tuesday announced appointments of three senior technology executives from rival Amazon, Google and Microsoft—Dan Rawson as head of customer logistics and supply chain ecosystems, Ravi Byakod as director of engineering – accounting, and Anand Lakshminarayanan as the head of product management for digital goods and services.

Rawson, who was general manager of fulfilment for North America at Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle, will now oversee all aspects of customer delivery solutions, leading product, business, and operations teams at Flipkart, the company said. A former captain in the US Marines, Rawson holds a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Byako, who will lead accounting technology for Flipkart, joins the firm from Google where he has spent more than nine years, most recently as head of engineering for Google for Work’s technology and solutions team, developing data warehouses, customer relationship management programs, and partner engineering solutions out of its Mountain View, headquarters.
