FMS Delhi to host Pakistan B-school students
As part of their stay in India, the students will attend lectures on strategy and marketing in FMS.
A delegation of 22 students from FMS Delhi visited LUMS last year and came back with a lot of insights and experiences. The aim of the visit was to give the students a holistic experience, rather than a purely academic one; the students got a better understanding of the life of a management student in Pakistan as well as the culture of Lahore.
Taking this program further, FMS is now playing host to an eight member delegation of LUMS students who reached Delhi on January 5 and will stay till the 13th. Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan, Dean, LUMS who visited FMS last year, noted one point of difference between management education in India and Pakistan that while the Indian system was more geared towards corporate placements, in Pakistan, there was a strong emphasis on Family Business Management.
As part of their stay in India, the students will attend lectures on strategy and marketing in FMS, interact the Dean as well as other faculty members are also on the cards. The delegation will also be taken sight-seeing to Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate, Qutub Minar as well as other places of historic importance in Delhi, apart from visiting Agra.
