MUMBAI: WPP’s creative agency Bates CHI & Partners has acquired the business and assets of Bangalore-based creative agency Temple Advertising. To reflect the new ownership, the agencies in Bangalore will merge and become Bates CHI & Temple, with the rest of the network retaining the original Bates CHI & Partners branding.

"Bates CHI & Partners’ defined business mission is to create big ideas for ambitious brands," said David Mayo, CEO, Bates CHI & Partners.

"In developing our strategy in India we are building a creative network with scale. Temple is a renowned creative agency with a strong reputation and a broad vision of the world and with them around the table, we will deliver on this promise", he added. Temple Advertising was co-founded in 2004 by Manmohan Anchan, Vidur Vohra and VS Srikanth. On April 7, ET had first reported on WPP’s plans of acquiring Temple Advertising at an estimated valuation of Rs 200 crore. At that time a source in the agency had told ET, "If final talks go through on April 15 or April 16, the entire process of merger and integration with Bates will be over by July."
