T2 Ad sites already a hit with brands; 660 display slots available

MUMBAI: Mumbai’s new state-of-the-art integrated terminal is expected to open for passengers in February. But it has already opened its doors for a plethora of brands who are competing for the best advertising sites within the 4.3 million sq ft terminal.

There are approximately 660 advertising display sites, which includes branding opportunities as well as conventional billboards, static and digital sites.

A spokesperson for Times OOH, which has an 11-year contract to manage the ad sites, says that almost 100% of inventory is booked, or in the final stages of closing a deal. On board are brands like HSBC, Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan, M&M, Gilette, BlackBerry, Musafir.com, Pernod Ricard, BNP Paribas, Standard Chartered , Canon and Samsung.

Times OOH is selling various tailor-made packages to advertisers , allowing them to pick the area and audience they wish to target. "Overall, there are 12 unique and a total of 29 static packages, 4 digital packages and multiple sponsorship opportunities" says the spokesperson from Times OOH.

While Times OOH declined to comment on the total valuation of the advertising inventory inside T2 or the advertising rates, the spokesperson says, "The rates for T2 has been decided based on certain parameters like the projected footfalls (37 mn passenger projected for 2015), ambience of the media, quality of passengers , media placement and several other parameters."
