“Cricket is woven into the heartbeat of India, and few teams capture its energy like Mumbai Indians,” said Tarundeep Singh, general manager, Nike India. He added that the franchise embodied the ambition and belief that make sport powerful, describing the partnership as an opportunity to serve athletes, celebrate the game and inspire the next generation.
Mumbai Indians, one of the most successful franchises in global cricket, have established a strong presence in both men’s and women’s cricket through their focus on talent development and competitive excellence. The franchise also boasts a large and engaged fan base, known as the Paltan.
Beyond on-field apparel, the partnership will seek to connect cricket with culture through products and storytelling inspired by Mumbai’s identity. The collaboration is expected to extend from stadiums to the streets, offering fans additional ways to express their connection to the franchise and the sport.
“Mumbai Indians have always been about more than cricket. We are one family — our players, our Paltan — built on nurturing talent, backing it fearlessly and playing for a city that never stops,” said Devang Bhimjyani, head of Reliance Sports.
