Artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) are becoming part of everyday life for Gen Z, helping them complete tasks, study, and make decisions, according to the ET Snapchat Gen Z report. The study, based on responses from over 1,500 Gen Z participants across multiple survey waves, shows that young users are adopting these technologies to simplify routine activities rather than to seek attention online.

AI becomes a practical support system
The report, powered by Kantar, highlights a shift in how Gen Z uses AI. Instead of treating it as a new trend, users are relying on it for everyday needs. “AI is my tech buddy to getting stuff done I use AI like a buddy for studying, work tasks, and quick problem-solving - brain boost, minus the stress.”

The data shows that this behaviour is consistent across survey periods, with sample sizes ranging from 741 to 1,534 respondents. AI is being used to support studying, workplace tasks, and quick decision-making, indicating its growing role as a routine tool.
